Juvenile Justice

Juvenile Justice

The juvenile justice program in Kosovo is based on a restorative approach to juvenile justice. Our intervention methods are focused on reforming justice systems and the capacity building of actors, advocacy, public awareness, and direct assistance provided to the children in conflict with the law. We work together with the staff of the detention centers and with training institutions for justice professionals to alleviate the negative impact of deprivation of liberty on children and young people. Our goal is to lower recidivism, but also to ensure that young people in custody are treated with dignity and prepared for their reintegration.
