Prime Minister Kurti visits Day Care Center, pledges Government support

Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu visited the Day Care Center for children in street situations today, managed by Terre des Hommes - Kosovo, expressing their deep appreciation for the organization's work and dedication.

In addition to Terre des Hommes – Kosovo representatives, they also met with the children, beneficiaries of this center.

From here, Mr. Kurti and Mrs. Haxhiu promised that the government's efforts to strengthen social and family services would continue.

During the meeting, Pajtim Zeqiri, acting director of Terre des Hommes Kosovo, and Egzona Gashi, coordinator of the Day Care Center, spoke to Kurti about the mission and activities of Terre des Hommes.

Mr. Zeqiri initially provided an overview of the wide range of work and interventions of Terre des Hommes in Kosovo, which relate to child protection, assistance for children in street situations, and justice for minors, among other things.

Meanwhile, Ms. Gashi focused on the work of the Daily Center. Functional since 2019, this center provides a warm and friendly environment where children feel safe. It is based on our model of specialized services for children in street situations, for those who are victims of sexual abuse, as well as for other children in need.
